# Cameron Mofid

An American traveller who has visited every country in the world, and Harry's
companion on the [Antarctica](/countries/antarctica.md) expedition. They share a
cabin for the crossing, and it is the **seventh continent for both of them**.

## What he does in the video

- **Runs the double act.** Most of the comic material in a sixty-minute video is
  the two of them — the introductions, the transatlantic needling about Britain
  and America, an unusable karaoke performance, and a running commentary on
  Harry's competence.
- **Loses to the Drake Passage.** Harry took the tablets and was fine and
  maintains it's mental; Cameron was ill, took five separate naps in one day, and
  describes the crossing as unforgiving — it will chew you up and spit you out.
- **Camps for the first time in his life**, on ice, on the
  [Antarctic Peninsula](/places/antarctic-peninsula.md). He cannot get the
  sleeping bag back into its sack and is unimpressed by the wind wall Harry built
  for him.

The useful thing he supplies, beyond the comedy, is the counterweight: a man who
has been everywhere on earth, reduced by two days of open ocean, which is Harry's
own argument for why the crossing is the hard part.
