Mac (Instagram: [@worldnomac](https://www.instagram.com/worldnomac/)) is a
friend and recurring travel companion of Harry's. He's from the United States
(Harry is from the UK), and the two banter their way through their trips —
from nearly setting off their rental car's alarm every morning in
[Jordan](/countries/jordan.md) to trading dance moves with a Hunza band in
[Pakistan](/countries/pakistan.md).

**He is the reason the channel exists in its current form.** In the 2021
year-in-review Harry says outright that he had been making cinematic films and
that Mac talked him into daily vlogging as well, coached him through it with tips
and tricks, and that this is what led to the Pakistan videos taking off and to
YouTube becoming his job. Harry closes that video by asking viewers to subscribe
to Mac's channel before his own.
