# Tourists at India & Pakistan Border 🇵🇰

Harry and [Mac](/people/mac.md) drive 40 minutes out of
[Lahore](/places/lahore.md) to the [Wagah border](/places/wagah-border.md) for
the daily flag-lowering ceremony, on a recommendation from their hotel and with
no idea what it is. He expected a hundred people at a barrier and found
stadium seating on both sides, thousands deep, with hype men working the crowds.

The video's other half is the most useful thing in it and has nothing to do with
the border: **their bank cards do not work.** Neither Harry's nor Mac's, at
multiple banks, across Lahore — the same card that had worked in
[Karachi](/places/karachi.md) days earlier. They give up, go to the ceremony,
and find one working machine on the way home.
