# $0.25 EXTREME Street Shave in Pakistan 🇵🇰

A short one: a shave from a pavement barber in [Pakistan](/countries/pakistan.md)
for around 25 cents, delivered at speed in front of a crowd of about thirty
people, on a street of individual vendors beside a large mosque. Harry calls it
the most intense shave of his life, is refused a tip afterwards, and stays on
for chai and biscuits with the crowd.

What makes it worth keeping is the last ninety seconds. Harry breaks off to
explain that the whole gathering was staged by a local TikToker for his own
content, that the crowd spent much of it laughing in a language neither he nor
[Walid](/people/walid.md) understood, and that he had to step in off camera and
ask them to stop making a joke of Walid being taken for Pakistani. He says
plainly that it felt awkward. It is the only moment in the Pakistan cluster
