# $1000 USD Street Food in Delhi, India 🇮🇳

Harry sets out to cross [Delhi](/places/delhi.md) on foot from the Tibetan
refugee colony in the north to the modern south, giving 8,000 rupees — about
$100 — to people along the way who strike him as working hard or dealing
honestly. He runs out of daylight and finishes the challenge in
[Ahmedabad](/places/ahmedabad.md) instead, and says so rather than pretending
otherwise.

The clearest thing in it is a negative. A banana seller quotes him a price he
judges dishonest, and Harry says on camera that this is why the man won't get a
reward — the only time in twenty demonstrations of this habit that the bundle
has him withholding it. Set against the barber, the shoe cleaners and the
noodle sellers who do get paid, it's the sharpest statement of what he's
actually rewarding.
