Harry's dad
Harry's father, who joins him for the Nepal trip — eats his way through Kathmandu, kayaks Phewa Lake, and supplies the idea for the best day of the cluster.
Harry’s dad
Harry’s father travels with him through Nepal in 2023. Harry addresses him on camera by his first name, Patrick, as often as he calls him Dad, and the running joke of the trip is Harry introducing him as a travelling companion of dubious usefulness while he does most of the paddling.
He arrives in time for the dal bhat at the end of the Kathmandu food day, shares a twin room at the lakeside lodge in Pokhara — a fact Harry complains about repeatedly — takes the front of a kayak across Phewa Lake to the temple island, and eats his way through a five-course Nepali dinner giving each course a rating a point or two off Harry’s.
His real contribution is the bicycle day. Renting bikes and riding out of the tourist strip into the villages was his idea, and Harry says so on camera and gives him the credit; it produces the day Harry calls one of his best in the country.

96 Hours Living With a Nepalese Family🇳🇵
Four days in a Himalayan foothill village of 80 families — milking buffalo at dawn, churning butter that keeps a year, and a daily 40-minute climb to cut fodder that Harry cannot keep up with.

Local Girl Cooks Me Nepal's Spiciest Noodles🇳🇵
Distilling raksi from millet in a village still, harvesting honeycomb with the village beekeeper, ploughing corn behind oxen, and losing badly to a packet of instant noodles.

Cycling Around Nepal With My Dad!🇳🇵
Harry and his dad rent bikes in Pokhara and ride out of the tourist strip into the rice-field villages — a house tour, a buffalo farm, roadside fried fish — and he comes back convinced the countryside is where the happy people are.
